Embracing the Dream: Elevating Our Nation

Join the McLean Community Center as we celebrate the achievements and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The program features a Guest Speaker, Live Entertainment and a BBQ Dinner Reception to follow program.
NEW! General Admission: Adults: $5; Children: $3, (age 10 and under), and includes dinner reception with the artists.

Using keyboard, tenor sax, alto sax, traditional African flutes, shakers and other instruments, J. Plunky Branch performs traditional and contemporary jazz music that explores the early roots of this art at the start of the Harlem Renaissance.
Tom Teasley and Charles Williams

Teasley and Williams will explore the connections from Africa to America as they play traditional instruments and discuss the cultural connections. They also will highlight the African American experience, including New Orleans jazz and the American spiritual.

A dinner reception will follow the program.

TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets to the event will be available at the Alden Theatre Box Office or by mail. Print this TICKET ORDER FORM and mail in for tickets (no additional convenience fees). Tickets will be mailed to you if ordered by January 12, 2009. Tickets ordered after January 12 will need to be picked up at will call on the day of the event.
